About Alexandra
I was an English teacher and tutor working in Hong Kong for two years.
I was responsible for:
Administered weekly self-created lessons involving reading, writing, reading comprehension, phonics, grammar and critical-thinking skills
Implemented monthly assessments to analyze students' progression, strengths and weaknesses
Encouraged conversational skills using weekly prompts to initiate dialogue
Facilitated English language acquisition through reading of numerous texts of various genres appropriate for the age and development level of each student.
I also have experience teaching psychology, fitness, and science courses in the Fairfax school systems for elementary aged to high school aged students for two years.
I also have experience teaching special education for one year in Northern Virginia Schools.
My students ages ranged from 2-30 years old across all disciplines.
I have a true passion for these five subjects and in both my undergraduate and graduate degree I maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout both degrees and academic honors.
I also tailored both degrees to include these five subjects specifically.
I have been a personal trainer and exercise instructor for over 12 years and I have experience training and teaching students of all ages and fitness levels.
