About Emily
Struggling with equations or need a boost in confidence before your next math test? Hi my name's Emily and before I got to high school and got on a better path I was one of the kids who was failing all the time. It wasn't because I didn't get it but what I heard every time was because I didn't apply myself, and I know from experience with the right nudge or reason every kid can improve. Why work with me? - I'm a former Teaching Assistant so I have hands-on classroom experience - As much as everyone hates math, I love it, I like teaching it, it's by far one of my favorite subjects - I'm patient, creative, and aware of the type of kids I work with so I adapt lessons to fit personal learning styles - Skilled in multiple fields from languages, math, art, and sports Whether you're genuinely struggling with math, just need the right nudge, or would like answers checked I'd be glad to help! I don’t just teach math, I make sure it's something that can be remembered. As a former TA who's an aspiring educator, I’ve spent years learning how people learn best. I tailor each lesson to fit each person's unique style, whether it's visual thinking, hands-on problem solving, auditory, or someone who just needs math to feel less intimidating. My goal is to make learning feel natural, easy, and maybe even fun, just because I like it doesn't mean everyone will.
