About Laura
I am currently in my first-year, studying History at the University of York. I am also extremely passionate about literature and foreign languages, especially French and Spanish.
From my experience as a student, I understand how crucial confidence is to unlocking your potential when the day of the exam arrives. This is why I attempt to make lessons as engaging and accessible as possible, to ensure that my students fully understand the content and can progress to eventually tackling the exam independently.
If you have any questions or would simply like to know more, please do not hesitate to message me and I would be happy to respond!

Having recently completed the GCSE and A Level curricula, I believe that I am in a strongest possible position to help support others to finish their own qualifications to the best of their ability.
Specialised in the OCR and AQA qualifications but this can be easily transferred to other exam boards and other texts.
GCSE Texts: Macbeth, A Christmas Carol and An Inspector Calls. Love and Relationships Poetry Anthology.
A Level Texts: Hamlet, The Duchess of Malfi and Paradise Lost (Books 9&10) as well as Dracula and The Bloody Chamber.
I have very recent knowledge about the examiners' approach to marking and the schemes which they use. As a current undergraduate myself, I am also aware of the importance of making the content as enjoyable and as accessible as possible! This is why I particularly focus on being versatile and adaptable to the needs of my learner. Happy to accommodate 30, 40 and 60 minute long sessions, depending on your preference or schedule.
