About Sophie
I am a friendly and enthusiastic BA (Hons) History & International Relations graduate from the University of Reading with a particular interest and specialism in modern American History and the Cold War. My dissertation involved extensive research on the reasons behind the US withdrawal from the Vietnam War leading me to spend a summer in Vietnam to explore the topic in greater depth, seeing the impact of the war first-hand.
I am also knowledgeable in other topic areas including British politics (1945 - present), post-WW1 Europe, Nazi Germany and WW2.
I am passionate about modern History and enjoy sharing my enthusiasm and knowledge with others to help them reach their full potential in their History assignments and exams.

Whilst home schooling our 3 girls (Twins aged 14 & 16) Sophie taught History and English. Sophie was a patient, knowledgable and engaging teacher for our 3 girls for approximately 1 year. We would highly recommend her without any reservations.
