I was born in Rome in 1989. After completing my baccalaureate in classical studies I moved to Milan, where I started to attend the Brera Academy of Arts . During this course I was awarded a fresco painting training at the M.A.C.A.M. museum, funded by the Piedmont region. I then moved to London to finish my undegraduate degree at Byam Shaw - Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design. I graduated in Fine Arts Skills and Practices at Byam Shaw College (CSM) in 2011. After graduation I was called by the iconographer and painter Adrian Iurco to assist him in the fresco decoration work of a newly built Orthodox church in Comanesti, Romania. Further knowledge on this ancient technique of painting was gained through a seminar with the renowed Italian conservator Alma Ortolan in Vittorio Veneto. Over time, I also gained expertise as wildlife painter. I have collaborated as scenic artist for public art projects, private commissions and prestigious companies such as Wildart Srl (see link here) and Quagga Associats (see here) specialised in museum installations. I was involved in prestigious projects for clients such as Acquario di Genova, Bioparco di Roma, Barcelona's Cosmocaixa and Munich's Hellabrunn Zoo.
For the last five years, I have worked on a variety of painting and prop making projects. My clients have been both public and private. Some of the institutions I worked with include: MAXXI Foundation - The Campaign For Drawing - Artbox London - Graniti Murales - Retake Roma - British Council in Rome - M.A.C.A.M. Museum - Creu Roja Catalunya.

My goal is to familiarize the students with the language of painting and drawing, triggering their curiosity and helping them building solid skills. It is exciting to see how they enjoy the execution and development of the works. The dynamics of the classes are carried out in a tailored way, thus helping the creativity and uniqueness of each student.
In my courses I usually teach several painting techniques (watercolour, gouache, acrylics, oils), as well as the painting visual language in terms of: linework and brushwork, the use of color and colour theory, composition, depth and volume, texture and more. I also teach about materials and supports (canvas preparation and priming, layering etc) and about the sustainability of each painting material, as I believe we can help our planet even when buying (or making our own) art materials.
I use the example of great masters from the past and from the present as reference material to help the students building a visual vocabulary when painting.
