About Mabel
Learning why places look the way they do, how the past shapes the present, and what different people believe and why is what makes the world so exciting! At my school Putney High School I learnt that Geography, History and Religious Studies are subjects full of big questions, and I think they're at their best when you get to explore them with curiosity rather than just memorising facts.
I want to teach because I know how it feels to be stuck on a topic or unsure of yourself in a subject. A bit of patience and encouragement can make a huge difference. My goal is to help you feel confident, think for yourself and enjoy learning along the way.

Every child learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the individual, whether that means building core knowledge, tackling tricky exam questions or rediscovering a love of the subject. My sessions are varied and engaging: we might work through workbooks together, create presentations, analyse essays, practise source work or plan arguments step by step.
Above all, I focus on confidence. I guide students through each challenge rather than handing them answers, so they understand the "why" and feel capable of tackling it on their own. I've supported children from primary school right through to GCSE and A-Level, and I love seeing the moment something clicks.
