About Jack
I am an Oxford PPE graduate with a Master’s degree and four years’ experience on the UK Civil Service Fast Stream. Alongside my professional career, I have tutored more than ten students across a range of subjects, from philosophy and politics to admissions preparation and academic writing. My background combines rigorous academic training with practical policy experience, enabling me to help students not only master content but also develop critical thinking, structured argumentation, and clear communication. I specialise in Oxbridge PPE applications, admissions test preparation, and university-level support in politics, economics, and philosophy. I also coach students and professionals for civil service and competency-based interviews, drawing on first-hand knowledge of what makes successful candidates stand out. My approach is tailored, supportive, and results-focused — helping learners build both confidence and performance. I provide end-to-end support for Oxford PPE applications, guiding students through every stage of the process. This includes developing compelling personal statements, preparing for admissions tests (TSA) with structured practice and feedback, and delivering realistic mock interviews that build confidence and sharpen analytical skills. I also help students strengthen the underlying academic foundations — essay technique, critical reasoning, and problem-solving — so that they approach the application with both subject mastery and a clear sense of how to perform under pressure. My support is tailored to each applicant’s strengths and goals, ensuring they present their best possible case to admissions tutors.

I’m an Oxford PPE graduate with a Master’s from LSE, and I specialise in helping students prepare for the TSA and Oxbridge admissions. My lessons focus on building confidence as well as exam technique — breaking down tricky questions, practising past papers, and learning strategies to stay calm under pressure. I recommend 2-3 1-hour sessions per week for the coming three weeks. Together we will break down the question types, tackle each one in turn to identify areas of improvement, and prioritise those areas to boost overall score. The aim is always to help students feel ready, motivated, and able to show their full potential.
