About Eleanor
I am an experienced admissions tutor currently studying for an MSc in Geography at the University of Oxford. I graduated ranked first in my cohort at the University of Cambridge in 2023 with a degree in Human, Social, and Political Sciences. I was also awarded the Sue Benson Prize for most outstanding dissertation in undergraduate Social Anthropology.
I remember finding the University of Cambridge admissions process both very exciting and very frightening when I applied; with this in mind, I am eager to build up my students' confidence in this process and give them the tools they need to succeed.

I am familiar with both the general UCAS personal statement and the Oxbridge admissions process for various humanities and social science subjects including English, History, Geography, HSPS and PPE.
I help students prepare their personal statements, from the earliest stages of selecting interesting texts and topics to research and discuss, to the planning and drafting (and redrafting) of an effective PS within character limits.
I also help prepare students for the Oxbridge-specific interviews and admissions assessments, primarily through mock-interviews or supervision/tutorial style lessons. Often I will set a reading or essay ahead of time that we would discuss in the lesson.
I am flexible and eager to work with the student to make a plan that suits their own needs best. I have a high sucess rate in the candidates I have assisted.
