About John
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, conducting research into new materials for solar cells. Every day, I use chemistry, physics and maths to develop sustainable and efficient materials for the next generation of renewable energy. I supervise the projects of Masters and PhD students, as well as conduct lectures on electricity and magnetism to Oxford Physics undergraduates. I have experience tutoring students from a range of ages: from 8-12 year old primary students interested in the physics of aircraft, as well as 16-18 year olds trying to improve their exam results to get into their university of choice.
