About Julia
I am a 25-year-old tutor, with four years' experience tutoring across the humanities and am a graduate from Oxford University. I am patient and engaging and enjoy a variety of teaching techniques. I am able to teach students who both excel and struggle with traditional essay subjects, breaking concepts and theories into digestible and enjoyable segments. I focus on examination techniques as well as instilling in my students a love for detail and creativity. I have no formal tutoring experience but have taught and helped my peers from secondary to degree level. I am extremely thorough and driven in my work and patiently and diligently will ensure my tutee achieves their academic goals to the highest standard. I was Julia's Director of Studies when she read History at Oxford, 2015-18. Alongside her obvious academic credentials, she is a very lively and enthusiastic person, who will be great fun as a tutor. She is also very personable and will be good at jollying her pupils along and getting them interested in what they're doing. I would judge that she will be an engaging and stimulating tutor.
