About Harry
I’m an Oxford educated historian and published academic author with several years of teaching experience both in schools and at Oxford. I’m also in demand as a public speaker and expert on British architectural history.
I have a contagious enthusiasm for a huge range of historical and artistic subjects and am able to go beyond the curriculum to help students not only achieve top grades, but develop a genuine enthusiasm for the subject. My teaching focuses on building confidence, curiosity, and independent thinking, so that students come away with a deeper understanding as well as strong academic results.

I offer bespoke lessons in history and related subjects at all levels with a strong focus not just on learning content but on developing analytical skills and an effective writing style. I'm also confident that I'm able to make any subject seem much more interesting and exciting than it might do at school!
I've worked at a number of leading schools and have first-hand experience of admissions processes at both a school and university level. I'm able to provide admissions tuition and advice, especially for Oxbridge, and am happy to offer essay, thesis, personal statement, and interview guidance in any humanities subject. I've supported countless successful applications to highly competitive schools and universities.
