About Corina
I am a graduate of the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge. I have a PhD in Education and I have several years of experience working as an associate lecturer, dissertation supervisor and examiner at a Russell Group University in the UK.
There are so many reasons why people might get stuck or find things difficult in their academic journey. I love working with students to help them succeed in their academic studies and fulfil their potential.
I support all university students (undergraduate, Master's, PhD) in the Social Sciences: e.g. Education, Sociology, Public Policy, Anthropology, Psychology, Marketing, and related fields. I am especially interested in working with students using qualitative methods (interviews, focus groups, observations etc). Many of my Master's students have received Distinctions and went on to pursue PhDs in the UK.
I also help school and college students preparing to apply for university. The UK admissions process can be tricky and I help people to navigate it successfully.

I offer one-to-one personalised support to undergraduate and graduate students in the UK and around the world, as well as students preparing to apply for UK universities.
I have experience working with a wide range of international students in the UK (especially from China) and I am aware of the specific academic challenges they face. I have developed a teaching approach that is responsive to cultural and individual needs, focusing, as needed, on developing critical thinking skills, a confident writing style and fluency.
I can offer support with any writing tasks (essays, assignments, graduate dissertations) and focus on whatever the student needs - from brainstorming ideas and planning the enquiry, to academic reading strategies, formulating an argument, structuring the essay, as well as collecting and analysing data. I mostly work with qualitative methodologies, but I am happy to work with students using mixed methods as well.
In addition to the above, I provide a range of other services, such as help with presentations, university applications, Oxbridge preparation, cover letters, PhD applications, English for academic purposes, writing skills etc. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.
