About Darren
"You might be wondering why I chose this job. It's because I see myself as a bridge builder. I know how it feels to be on one side of a gap—the side where you have amazing ideas but can't quite express them, where you understand the culture but can't quite dive in. My job is to build a strong, stable bridge of language and confidence that takes you from that side to the other. I want to teach because I love the process of construction. I love finding the perfect materials—the right vocabulary, the clear grammar explanation, the useful phrase—that makes your bridge solid. Most of all, I love the view from the middle of the bridge with you, when you realise you're no longer stuck, and the path ahead is clear. Let's start building."
