About Rachel
Hello! I am a college senior set to graduate in May of 2021 with honors. I'm studying philosophy and cultural studies, which has given me high proficiency in reading comprehension and writing. I have a background in liberal studies, and have written extensively for various contexts (literature, history, persuasive, philosophical, reporting/journalism, etc.) I tutored while in high school for various subject for kids in elementary in middle school. I am now confident in tutoring students through high school in English and Social Studies, though for other subjects I would be more helpful up to 8th grade. Additionally, I have a background working in childcare, I was a part-time nanny for two families in high school, babysat sporadically for many other families, and was a camp counselor for a few summers. I'm patient and kind and work well with all ages, and I am invested in making kids feel comfortable and happy while encouraging them to build long-term skills.
