I have 6 years of experience teaching, homeschooling, and educating via Zoom, Google Classroom, and other virtual platforms. My experience has been teaching grades K-12, teaching students with specific learning needs, such as: ADHD, Autism (verbal and nonverbal) or ESL. Some subjects I teach are English, Literacy, Speech and Math (Algebra I, II, Geometry, Statistics). My best practices for keeping classes engaging are: implementing fun but educational activities (to improve student memory retention or their ability to grasp each lesson), intriguing warmups, giving positive reinforcement for student participation, utilizing breakout rooms or student led discussions so students have more practice, come up with questions, and sense they have more capability in the classroom and in their education.
Additionally, I previously taught as a Music Director and give voice and singing lessons. As well as college prep and help with scholarships and grants.
