About Karen
Hi! I’m a native Spanish speaker and bilingual tutor who loves helping students feel confident when learning Spanish. I lived in Mexico for 15 years, so I teach real, everyday Spanish, not just what’s in a textbook. I’m currently enrolled in a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Program with a Bilingual (Spanish) Authorization in Southern California, and I focus on making Spanish easy to understand, fun, and practical. Mistakes are welcome in my class, they’re part of learning! Outside of teaching, I enjoy coffee, learning new things, and spending time with my cats. I’m friendly, patient, and supportive, and I always try to create a relaxed space where you feel comfortable speaking Spanish from day one. Whether you’re learning Spanish for school, travel, culture, or personal interest, I’ll help you build confidence, improve pronunciation, and actually enjoy the process. My Spanish lessons are interactive, practical, and focused on real communication. As a native Spanish speaker, I help students learn Spanish the way it is actually used in everyday life, not just memorized rules.
Each lesson is adapted to your level, goals, and interests, whether you are a beginner or want to improve your conversation skills.
In My Spanish Lessons, You Will:
1. Practice speaking Spanish from the first class
2.Learn useful vocabulary and phrases for real-life situations
3. Improve pronunciation and listening skills
4. Understand grammar in a simple and clear way
5. Build confidence in a relaxed and supportive environment
Lesson Structure
1. Warm-up conversation or review
2. New vocabulary or topic (travel, school, daily life, culture, etc.)
3. Guided speaking practice and activities
4. Short grammar explanation (when needed)
5. Review and practice goal for the next lesson
Mistakes are welcome, my goal is to help you feel comfortable speaking Spanish and enjoying the learning process.
