My lessons follow a structured, diagnostic-first approach. We start with a short diagnostic test to pinpoint exactly which SAT Math areas need work — whether it's Heart of Algebra, Problem Solving & Data Analysis, Advanced Math, or Geometry/Trigonometry. From there, each session targets your specific gaps rather than re-teaching material you already know.
A typical lesson balances concept explanation and hands-on practice evenly. When you make a mistake, I don't just give you the answer — I first let you attempt the problem again on your own. If you get it, I ask you to explain your reasoning back to me, which cements the concept far better than passive listening. If you're still stuck, I adjust based on how much you're struggling: sometimes a guiding question is enough to point you in the right direction, other times I walk through the full logic step by step. This way you build real problem-solving instincts instead of just memorizing steps.
I put strong emphasis on time management, since pacing is often what separates a good score from a great one on SAT Math. As we progress, sessions shift from concept-building toward full timed sections and eventually full practice tests, so you walk into the real exam having already experienced the pressure and rhythm of it.
