About Kirsten
My extensive experience in diverse educational areas, including residential/self-help skills, individual specialized instruction, and reading and writing skills, spans across grades PreK-12. This wide range of experience equips me with the ability to adapt to different teaching environments.
My teaching methodology is deeply rooted in flexibility, personalization, and fun. I understand that each student has a unique learning style, and I am committed to adapting my approach to meet their individual needs. This personalized approach ensures that every student's academic and executive function skills are nurtured, leading to their overall growth and development.
I aim to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel confident tackling challenges. With this approach, students gain subject mastery and the skills to succeed independently.

With over a decade of experience in Special Education, as well as training in the Orton-Gillingham technique, I help students develop strong reading skills and confidence. I've supported diverse learners, from mild to severe disabilities, in inclusive and specialized settings.
I have a Dyslexia Certification from the Dyslexia Training Institute where I was trained in the Orton-Gillingham method, allowing me to provide multi-sensory instruction that helps students overcome reading, writing, and spelling challenges.
Whether your child has dyslexia or struggles with literacy, my supportive approach makes reading enjoyable.
