About Esme
Hello! I am a tutor of 3+ years with a real love of teaching, now studying Psychology at the University of Sheffield.
Over the years, I have taught 15+ pupils whose parents have only given me positive feedback. I am so so proud of my tutees, who have exceeded entry requirements, reached top sets and (most importantly) seen a big boost in their confidence and a total change in their attitude toward school.

I work with pupils with numerous SEND needs and will tailor each lesson to best support you/your child. As a student myself, I understand the pressures of school and exams so teach as a friendly, supportive and understanding older peer rather than a traditional professional.
Psychology is obviously my favourite subject, and for good reason. However, the content at GCSE and A Level is overwhelming, exam questions need decoding and research methods are like marmite.
To reduce your mental load, you do not need to memorise your evaluations (AO3). Instead, I hope to teach you the critical thinking to evaluate theories/studies in the exam. The first goal is to focus on research methods and critical thinking which I promise to simplify for you to fully understand. Then, we can learn the theories and studies (AO1). Finally, we will work on your written exam techniques to maximise your marks, even if your knowledge is limited!
I can offer regular sessions, or "as and when" help with homework. If you have any questions, please reach out!
