About Maureen
Hi, I'm Maureen. I studied Music Industry and Songwriting at USC Thornton School of Music, Class of 2014. I have been teaching music lessons for over 15 years. I love helping new beginners of all ages learn guitar, piano, and songwriting. I think having fun and feeling confident are some of the best side effects of developing your music skills. I look forward to working with you and encouraging you along your music journey!

Whether your child or teen wants to learn guitar, piano, drums, ukulele, music theory, or even how to write their own songs, I can help give them the tools they need to succeed. I know many young beginners can become discouraged by strict and stubborn instructors, and that's why I commit myself to making music lessons as fun and engaging as possible. I cater lessons to include the genres and songs of each student's preference. I love working with young beginners and encouraging their sense of play and exploration through each structured lesson. Lessons include a focus on fundamentals, technique, and growing a sense of confidence and achievement as students learn songs they recognize and request. Ideal for beginners ages 5+. Music lessons can be an impactful source of self-esteem for young learners, and I look forward to helping your child feel confident in their ability to learn their favorite songs! Let's play!
