About Nima
As someone who went through most of high school with undiagnosed ADHD, I struggled with new concepts, because of the rigid and textbook-style they were explained in. My neurodiverse and logic-driven brain felt overwhelmed; taking in knowledge felt like a chore and the lack of nuance in explanation made it feel meaningless/unnatural. As a result, I often doubted my abilities and felt inadequate for not being able to follow 'the formula' for academic success, and I knew I had goals to achieve, so I acted fast.
When I came into Year 12, I knew I had a lot on the line. Many people consider Year 12/A1 as the 'relaxed' year, where you can take things easy and grades don't matter, but I never once felt this way. Instead, I used the spare time from a less-demanding timetable to read ahead and experiment with my learning style, conditioning patterns and structure that would bring me success. And suddenly, I was getting straight As and A*s across tests and mock exams for my English Language and Psychology A-Levels, which continued throughout the two years of A-Levels and made Year 13 less of a challenge to handle.
I was inspired by my success in the face of adversity and difference, and realised the importance of studying in a way that feels representative of you. I want to pass the lessons I have learnt to others and set up students for long-term success, by providing them skills that they can carry with them for life.
My one-hour sessions will promote consistency and efficiency, as well as the value of going slightly beyond what the teachers ask of you, amongst other principles. Ideally, my students will come out of our tutoring with less frequent procrastination/panic, better time management, performances reflective of their true abilities and, most importantly, the composure they need to take on the real A-Level exams.

Goals:
- Showing students how to study smarter, not harder - study planning, optimising notes, simplifying content, etc.
- Making learning more accessible and enjoyable - as a neurodiverse person, I hope to accommodate a range of students.
- Helping students discover themselves and facilitate their path to success
Lessons intended for A-Level Psychology and English Language students, but I am open to GCSE English tutoring for students who want to improve their general writing.
