About Haziq
I earned an A in SPM History, completed foundation studies in Engineering and Computer Science, and am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in History and Civilization as an IIUM undergraduate scholarship recipient with a CGPA of 3.80. I specialise in Western Intellectual History, the History of the United States, the Modern History of the Arab World, Modern European History, the History of Russia and Muslim Eurasia, the History of the Ottoman Empire, Muslim Nations in Contemporary History, the Rise and Fall of Civilisations, Islah and Tajdid movements in the Muslim world, the Abbasid Caliphate (750–1258), the History of Palestine, Islamic History (610–750), the History of the Maghrib and al-Andalus, and Malaysian history from 1400 to the present.
I design my lessons specifically for SPM students and university undergraduates who want to build a strong grasp of history. My teaching uses a timeline-based approach that turns scattered facts into a clear, connected narrative, helping students understand not only what happened, but why each development mattered within the wider flow of global history.

I take a timeline-based approach to teaching history, helping students understand historical events in a clear, chronological order. This method makes it easier to connect causes and effects, understand key developments, and retain important details, especially useful for exam preparation and essay writing.
Each class typically runs for 1 hour, during which I guide students through structured, topic-focused lessons that include summaries, key terms, and critical thinking questions. I also use visual aids like timelines, mind maps, and thematic comparisons to enhance understanding and engagement.
