About Eleanor
Hello, my name is Ellie, and I am a qualified nurse with a university degree and a strong passion for Biology and education. I have always enjoyed helping others understand complex topics, and my clinical background allows me to teach Biology with accuracy and real-life relevance. I am choosing to teach because I genuinely enjoy seeing students achieve results they may not have thought possible. This happened for me with my A Level results, and I would love to help others achieve this. Biology can feel complicated, especially at GCSE and A-Level, but with the right explanation and support, it becomes logical. My goal is to make lessons structured and supportive, while helping students develop strong exam technique and independent learning skills. As a healthcare professional, I bring a high level of professionalism, responsibility, and organisation to my tutoring. I understand the importance of clear communication, reliability, and safeguarding, and I take my role as a tutor seriously. My approach to tutoring is structured, supportive, and tailored to each student. As a qualified nurse with a university degree, I bring real-world biological knowledge into my teaching, helping students understand not just what they need to learn, but why it is important which is especially helpful for exam success. I teach using clear explanations, exam-style questions, and active recall techniques to build confidence and long-term understanding. Lessons are adapted to the student’s learning style, whether they need help grasping core concepts, improving exam technique, or boosting confidence in Biology. Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted if needed. Sessions usually include: A brief review of previous content Teaching or revising a specific topic Guided practice with exam questions Clear feedback and tips for improvement I am experienced in supporting students with GCSE and A-Level Biology, including exam preparation and revision preparation based on my experience. My background in nursing allows me to explain complex biological processes in a clear, accessible way, linking theory to real-life applications. My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level students, typically aged 14–18, and are ideal for those who want clear explanations, structured support, and an encouraging learning environment. All lessons are delivered online, making them flexible and accessible.
