About Daniel
I am a certified teacher of English, with over 10 years' experince of teaching English at all levels. I specialise in teaching pronunciation and presentation, and have what we call "Queen's English", which is the easiest accent to understand. I used to work at the BBC and was a journalist for many years.
I enjoy working with students on a one-to-one basis and seeing them develop, both in skills and confidence.
I always try to make my lessons fun but I aim to be flexible, so whether you want to focus on grammar or vocabulary or pronunciation we can decide on a lesson plan together. I believe it is important to do homework and I will always offer you homework, but if you are busy and don't have time I also understand.
Please bear in mind that tutors are not paid for the first lesson so I'm only looking for students who want regular lessons. I can only provide teaching materials if you subscribe to regular lessons.

I use a variety of learning techniques to help people improve their English, including games, videos, audios and role play. I have a background in journalism and publishing and worked for the BBC for some years. I have also written for many of the national newspapers.
It is hard to describe a typical lesson because every student is different, and has different strengths and weaknesses. However, many students need to improve their general English, so for those I usually offer grammar and vocabulary for homework, and either pronunciation, reading or listening in class.
Many business students come to me in order to improve their pronunciation and presentation. For them I offer lessons both in phonetics and intonation and specialise in the skill of making presentations more persuasive and effective.
