Hi! I'm a recent A-level Economics student who achieved an A in Edexcel Economics, and I'm excited to help other students build their confidence and understanding of the subject!

I know that Economics can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to understand complex theories or apply them to exam questions. Having recently been in your position myself, I understand how important it is to have concepts explained clearly and in a way that makes sense. I love connecting economic theory to real-world examples and current affairs to make learning more interesting and relatable.

My aim is to create a friendly, supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at your own pace. Whether you're struggling with a particular topic, need help with essay writing or want to feel more confident before your exams, I'm here to help!

I'm looking forward to helping you discover that Economics doesn't have to be as complicated as it first seems!

About the lesson

Having achieved an A in A-level Edexcel Economics, I know firsthand that having a clear, structured approach is everything. Economics can feel a bit overwhelming at first, and without mastering those foundational building blocks, it can be really tough to grasp the more complex topics.
Because of that, I like to keep my lessons structured so that we are always learning, retaining, and applying the content effectively. Here is a little breakdown of how a typical lesson looks:

• The Warm-Up: We’ll kick things off with either 5 quick questions about our last lesson or by annotating an exam question together to get the brain moving!
• Core Revision: We’ll jump into an open, relaxed discussion about the topic, using the Edexcel specification as our trusty guide.
• Targeted Practice: We will always dedicate part of the lesson to exam technique—whether that’s tackling Section A questions or building a solid essay plan.
• Wrap-Up: We’ll finish with a friendly chat about what we’ve achieved today, set some goals for next time, and talk about any areas you feel we should focus on more.

I also firmly believe that to really excel in economics, it helps to look outside the classroom. Connecting our theory to current affairs and real-world news is a fantastic way to bring the subject to life! Not only does it make the content way more interesting, but it is also the secret to writing those top-tier essays and using economics to your advantage in the real world.
