• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I come from a family of teachers spanning eight generations, so teaching is in my blood. Growing up, I learned the art of teaching through my mother and grandmother. Over the years, French has become my natural focus because I love to share my native language with learners worldwide.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  When I moved to Canada from France, I did not speak English. Working hard to learn that language was incredibly empowering. Experiencing the adventure of learning a new language gave me deep empathy for my students, and I am passionate about helping them on their own language adventure.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  What all my students have in common is their courage and willingness to learn. I love to turn that enthusiasm into genuine fluency. Watching our conversations become deeper and more nuanced is the most rewarding part of my work

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  My mother remains my greatest inspiration. A fun fact is that she was my high school teacher, which gave me a lot of appreciation and inspiration. She had an ability to keep students engaged that truly motivated me. Knowing that we are now both actively teaching and loving it is a great feeling.

• What are your keys to success?

  Active communication and interaction. While taking time to understand rules is essential, real language improvement happens through use. I prioritize interactive practice, immersing students in dynamic, practical scenarios. Creating an energetic and conversational environment is where I see the fastest progress.
