About Manuella
I am a Bachelor student in the last Bachelor semester. I am studying chemical engineering and process engineering at KIT.
I really liked the subject of technical thermodynamics.
In Thermo I I had the cycle processes and moist air.
The exciting thing was the understanding behind the state changes, depending on the conditions. I learned to come up with the right approach based on the given conditions and already known formulas.
If you understand what kind of change of state is happening, you understand which size is omitted or what you have to do (integrate or differentiate) in order to come up with the right approach (which is usually in the formulas). This way you can understand why which formulas are used in the formula collection.
In Thermo II I had real gases, mixtures and free enthalpy and free entropy. According to my research, Thermo II at KIT is almost similar in content to chemical thermodynamics.

I start with the basics that were taught to me at university. I can also see what was taught by the student. I explain both the theory and the arithmetic part and give the student homework to check whether the material has been understood. The pupil / student hands in the task before the next lesson and gets a new one in the next lesson. In the following lesson, the corrected homework is worked through together. At the end of each chapter, tasks are put together to check whether the material has been understood.
At the end of all chapters, mock exams are put together to prepare the student for the exam.
