About Amy
Having just completed my degree, I have also been gigging professionally and teaching in both group settings and 1-1 throughout my studies. I have a great interest in jazz and experimental music, but also regularly play in orchestral settings. I am easily able to adapt my approach to fit my student's interests and ability, and aim to pass on my enthusiasm for music in order to promote both enjoyment and progress from lessons.

I am a double bassist based in Birmingham looking for the opportunity to pass on my passion for music whilst continuing to further my career. I have taught in both groups and on a 1-1 basis at a variety of levels to all ages, and tailor approach to each student; I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals which has furthered her ability to adapt to particular requirements. I am incredibly enthusiastic about teaching which greatly benefits my students, creating a supportive atmosphere for them to progress and develop their love for music. I am proficient on double bass and bass guitar to a professional standard, have highly competent keyboard skills in order to teach piano or accompany students, and am a passionate lover of music theory.
