As an educator, the goal is to inspire confidence in all students. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. Learning about their strengths and weaknesses provides information to apply to their learning styles. Documentation of students' learning progress is valuable and necessary to track. In addition, understanding the students' and their families' cultures is essential. A comfortable relationship with the teacher and students enhances the learning experience.

The teaching methods I use for reading and writing to students in grades 1-4 include interactive lessons. The techniques I use can start with a video of the objective that the students will learn. The typical lesson plan is to introduce the objective, then I ask the students questions about the aim to gauge their understanding. I administer pictures and diagrams for them to see and feel. In addition, my students work in pairs and groups so they can communicate their skills to others and work together to solve the objectives. Throughout the lesson, I ask questions to keep them engaged and to assess their progress. The conclusion of my lessons includes an exit ticket on the objective to document their comprehension. I believe in making lessons fun, so the students are captivated by the objectives.
