About Katherine
I am a 2nd year Paediatric Nursing student studying at King's College London, I have lots of experience working with children of all ages, and tutored maths to KS3 students for two years during my A-levels. I also have experience in tutoring piano. I have A* GCSEs in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, a A AS-level in maths and B grade A levels in Maths and Chemistry (and Textile Design!)

I try to adapt my style to suit each student I work with. I encourage students to take to time to think logically on topics, and to use a variety of approaches the questions to develop an understanding how maths works, rather than how to use formulas to produce answers. Having come from a very competitive school, I am able to empathise with students who feel left behind, or who prefer to learn at a steadier pace, and am passionate about providing children with the confidence to persevere with difficult tasks in order to succeed.
