About Dr Katherine
My many 13+ years of experience as a classroom, hybrid, and online graduate student have given me a unique perspective on what makes an excellent online instructor and what creates a disastrous experience for students. I have ten years of experience as a classroom instructor and several years as an online tutor. I know the foundation of success for online nursing students is contingent on the faculty being able to create a cordial and professional relationship with each student. I have extensive experience with APA formatting and writing style and am available for editing APA papers including grammar and flow of the content. My teaching experiences include BSN, ADN, and LPN/LVN programs. These programs are regionally accredited and required instructors to use and create NCLEX structured questions. It is imperative for student success during and after completing school to critically evaluate and analyze nursing practice through difficult and alternative format questions. Unfortunately, NCLEX-style questions are also used on nursing programs' entrance exams as well as throughout nursing programs, such as HESI, ATI, etc. This style of questions can be intimidating for students at all levels. I have extensive experience helping students understand and apply their knowledge to decrease test anxiety, decrease frustrations with studying, and increase their confidence. Nothing feels better than hearing from students who discovered their personal learning styles and hearing about their successes.

My teaching experiences and my utilization of today’s educational technologies have molded my teaching philosophy. I make a point of being a partner with my students. When I am an involved facilitator in the classroom and online, students quickly grow in knowledge and critical thinking abilities. Students see their own potential and successes. Being present and available also helps students with potential at-risk issues to receive prompt assistance to increase their potential for success.

Perfect! Dr. K was a wonderful tutor! I got help from her my second time taking the test and it made a huge difference for me! Each session we went through several questions and she always had a story or ways to remember some of the content. She will teach you how to approach the NCLEX and that was very helpful for me! Proud to say I passed my test!
Perfect! I was unsuccessful at taking the NCLEX and my first time taking it after meeting with Dr. R I passed. Highly recommend meeting with her.

Details
A no-show will be billed at the full rate for the session scheduled.
A cancellations that occur less than 24 hour from a scheduled appointment will be billed at 50% of the scheduled session.
I do advise students to consider a two tutoring session is preferable because it give us adequate time to fully discuss multiple topics.
