My name is Damian, and I teach Norwegian in a clear, structured and practical way. My goal is not just to help students memorize grammar rules, but to help them actually understand how Norwegian works and feel confident using it in real conversations.
My teaching method combines grammar, speaking practice, pronunciation, vocabulary building and cultural context. I usually explain grammar in simple steps, then we immediately use it in sentences, short dialogues and conversation. I also like using interesting topics such as Norwegian history, daily life, work, travel, Viking culture and modern Scandinavian society, so the lessons feel alive and not like a dry textbook.
A typical lesson depends on the student’s level and goals. For beginners, we usually work on pronunciation, basic sentence structure, common verbs, word order and useful everyday phrases. For intermediate students, we focus more on conversation, listening, grammar correction, vocabulary expansion and becoming more natural when speaking. For exam students, we can work on Norskprøve preparation, oral answers, writing structure and common exam themes.
What sets me apart is that I am patient, detailed and very good at explaining difficult grammar in a simple way. I have experience teaching many different types of students, including complete beginners, adults moving to Norway, people preparing for exams, and students who want to improve their speaking confidence. I also adapt the lesson to the student’s personality, pace and interests.
My lessons are best for adults and motivated teenagers who want to learn Norwegian for work, study, relocation, exams, travel or personal interest. Whether you are a complete beginner or already know some Norwegian, I can help you build a stronger foundation and become more confident step by step.
