I believe in active learning and tailoring my methods to each student's needs. Here's how I ensure effective learning:
Conceptual Clarity First: We start by thoroughly understanding the "why" behind every topic, not just the "how." I break down complex ideas into smaller, digestible chunks, using real-world examples and analogies to make abstract concepts concrete.
Problem-Solving Focus: Math and Physics are best learned by doing. We'll work through a variety of problems, from basic to challenging, to solidify understanding. I guide students through step-by-step problem-solving strategies, encouraging them to think critically and independently.
Interactive & Engaging: My online sessions are far from passive lectures. I use digital whiteboards, interactive simulations, and polling tools to keep students engaged. Questions are always encouraged, and I create a comfortable environment where no query is too small.
Visual Learning: Whenever possible, I incorporate diagrams, graphs, and visual aids to help students visualize concepts, especially in Physics.
Usual Class Structure
A typical online class with me is designed for maximum learning and engagement:
Quick Review (5-10 mins): We'll briefly recap the previous session's key concepts to ensure continuity and address any lingering questions.
New Concept Introduction (20-30 mins): I'll introduce new topics, focusing on clear explanations, foundational principles, and relevant examples. This is an interactive discussion where students are encouraged to participate.
Problem-Solving Session (20-25 mins): We'll work through a set of carefully selected problems together. I'll demonstrate solutions, then guide students as they attempt similar problems, providing immediate feedback.
Doubt Clearing & Practice Assignment (5-10 mins): We'll dedicate time to address any doubts that arose during the class. I'll also assign practice problems or suggest resources for independent study before our next session.
