About Lauren
I am a dynamic and passionate educator, workshop facilitator, and curriculum writer with over 25 years of experience, specializing in inclusive education. As a seasoned leader, I possess in-depth knowledge and practical expertise in addressing the "whole child." I believe in creating an environment and program that centers the child’s identity and needs, ensuring a sense of belonging, community, and engagement. My professional journey includes successful roles in organizational leadership, teaching, professional development and mentoring new educators. I excel in coaching and mentoring educators addressing design and delivery of inclusive programming, creating safer affirming spaces for all students and their families. In 2022 I was recognized for my exceptional contributions, and was honored the Ontario Teacher of the Year Award from OTIP. This prestigious honor reflects my dynamic, creative, and passionate teaching styles, as well as my ability to inspire others to make a meaningful difference. I continue to be a driving force in shaping inclusive education, leaving an indelible mark on both educational institutions and the lives of students.
