About Neviah
Neviah graduated in 2018 from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts with a focus in dance, and continued her training at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she earned a BFA in Dance and a minor in Business, graduating in May 2022.

To me, dance transcends mere movement; it represents a profound healing exchange. It provides a voice where words fall short and a sanctuary for exploration, expression, and healing. My work as a dancer and choreographer is grounded in modern, contemporary, ballet, and jazz dance, each style offering a distinct language through which I craft narratives and forge connections. The transformative power of dance inspires me deeply. It has served as my refuge and therapy, guiding me through life’s challenges and offering solace. This personal journey fuels my commitment to creating work that resonates with both my own experiences and those of others, providing a space for reflection and healing. My art is a deliberate call for change. Through the stories conveyed through my movements, I seek to inspire and provoke thought, opening minds and hearts to new perspectives. By sharing my truth, I aim to ignite change not only within myself but within the communities I engage. The guidance and legacy of my mentors and professors are integral to my creative process. Their influence drives me to push artistic boundaries, honor our shared history, and explore new avenues for the future. In all aspects of my work, I strive to create art that heals, challenges, and fosters a deeper understanding of ourselves and each other. Dance is both my voice and my therapy.
