About Eva
Nice to meet you! My name is Eva, I am a second-year Neuroscience Specialist student at the University of Toronto. Working while maintaining a 4.0 GPA has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in the academic world. Through my lessons, I aim to teach students not only about the topic at hand, but also how to work independently and study effectively. I teach all STEM subjects, and I have experience working in both larger classes and one-on-one lessons. I have helped dozens of students succeed in the classroom, and build long-lasting study habits.

As a Neuroscience Specialist, I use scientific foundations in learning to guide my lessons. My pedagogy revolves around tailoring lessons to the individual, accounting for their circumstances and learning style. Lessons involve foundational comprehension, active recall, and application questions to test study material. By using knowledge in more complex ways throughout the lesson, my students develop a deep understanding of the subject, setting them up for success in later courses. I teach students in grades 6 to 12 Math, Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. As a dean's list scholar at the University of Toronto, I have a thorough understanding of the best way to prepare for post-secondary education.
