About Joseph
I have a PhD in Neuroscience (UBC), a Masters in Behavioural Neuroscience/Psychology (Queen's University), an Honours BA in Psychology (Brock University), and an Honours BSc in Biology (McMaster University).
My PhD and postdoctoral research focused on neuropathology (e.g., spinal cord injury and Alzheimer's disease), but I also have considerable experience teaching psychology and advanced statistical analysis - the latter of which I have taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I have a lot of experience teaching practical statistics skills to people, including the use of SPSS statistical analysis software.

As a tutor I focus on the needs of my students and design a curriculum around the knowledge they require as well as their strengths and weaknesses regarding that subject matter.
My first session with a new student is typically a meet and greet designed to determine their needs.
As such, I prefer to work with people one-on-one, but I am willing to run groups if need be, provided all of the students in those groups have similar needs.
I am most familiar with teaching university undergraduate and graduate students, but I am willing to tutor high school students as well.

Details
A minimum of 4 hours notice is required to reschedule or cancel a tutoring session.
Less than 4 hours notice will be treated as a half hour session and billed accordingly ($25).
Missing a session with no notice will be treated as a full hour session and billed accordingly ($50).
