About Taylor
Hi! I’m a graduate student pursuing my Master’s in Counseling Psychology, with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a background in professional writing, marketing, case management, property management, and probation records. Throughout my education and career, strong written and verbal communication has been an important part of my work—from writing marketing copy and professional correspondence to completing academic assignments and supporting clients.
I’m passionate about helping others communicate their ideas clearly and confidently. I understand that writing can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you know what you want to say but aren’t sure how to put it into words. My goal is to make the writing process feel more manageable while helping you develop skills you can use long after our lessons are over. Whether you need help polishing a paper, improving your grammar, organizing your ideas, or strengthening your professional writing, I’m here to help!

I believe tutoring should go beyond correcting mistakes, so I explain the “why” behind revisions and use examples, guided practice, and hands-on editing to help you develop skills you can use independently.
Lessons typically begin by identifying your goals and areas where you need support, followed by a brief explanation or demonstration of the skill we’re working on. We’ll then practice together and apply the skill to your own writing while I provide constructive feedback. My goal is to help you produce clear, polished writing that still sounds like *you* while building your confidence as a writer.
