I love helping students feel more confident with academic writing. Whether you’re just getting started with the basics or need support organizing a dissertation, I’m here to make the process feel more manageable and less stressful.
I work with both ESL and non-ESL students, and I always try to meet you where you’re at. My approach is patient, encouraging, and practical, with a focus on helping you build skills you can actually use moving forward.

Each lesson begins with a quick check-in to identify the student’s goals and current challenges. From there, I provide clear instruction, guided practice, and supportive feedback tailored to the student’s needs. Sessions are flexible and can focus on writing fundamentals, ESL support, essay organization, or dissertation planning. Each lesson ends with a summary of key takeaways and next steps, leaving students confident and prepared.
Typical Lesson Format:
Opening check-in: a quick look at what you want help with.
Goal for the session: One clear focus, such as organizing a dissertation outline or improving paragraph structure.
Teaching and practice: I explain the idea, then we go through an example together.
Student application: You practice with my guidance & feedback.
Wrap-up: We review what we learned and discuss next steps.
