About Faraja

Jambo! I am a native Swahili tutor from Arusha, Tanzania, living at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. I grew up speaking Swahili and I am passionate about teaching my language and culture to the world. I have experience helping travelers, volunteers, and students speak real, everyday Swahili with confidence. I am friendly, patient, and professional. I will create personalized lessons for your goals, whether you want to travel, work, or connect with Tanzanian people. My teaching is fun, practical, and focused on speaking from day one. About the lesson

My teaching methodology is conversational, practical and 100% on you speaking No boring textbook
Typical lesson looks like this
1. 5 minutes Warm greeting and review we speak Swahili from the first second
2. 20 minutes Real life dialogue for example how to bargain in Arusha market ,order food or meet Tanzanian friends
3 . 20 Minutes YOU practice speaking I correct gently and add new vocabulary with pictures and stories from the life at foot of the mount Kilimanjaro
4. 5 minutes personalized homework and plan for next lesson
My lesson are very fun ,patient and customized travelers ,beginner, volunteer and business people
