About Azul
I am from a beautiful town in Honduras and grew up surrounded by my friends and family. My dad often took me to national parks when I was young, where we saw stunning and colorful Guacamaya birds and learned about the Mayan culture. After graduating from high school, I graduated cum laude with a degree in journalism and publicity. After graduation, I returned to the school I went to as a teenager and taught Spanish, while making impactful connections with my students. I came to Dublin in January to improve my English level, and I want to continue teaching Spanish and telling people about the beauty of Honduras.

The best way to make a student learn something and remember it is by making them enjoy the material. Therefore, my teaching philosophy revolves around maintaining the attention of my students. I start classes with quick and exciting activities to get them engaged such as 20 questions. Then, I begin the class, and we start learning our daily concept. My goal is to elicit questions from the student because I want them to be constantly curious. I typically teach classes for one hour but can adjust for time constraints. Learning should be fun, so I end class with a short game to make the student enjoy the lesson. If a student smiles and laughs during my class, it was a great class!
