About Yunitza
My name is Yunitza, and I am a native Spanish teacher from Chile with 9 years of experience in education. I am passionate about teaching and helping students feel confident when learning a new language.
I am currently living in Canada, which has allowed me to better understand what it feels like to learn and adapt to a new language and culture. Because of this, I am very patient, supportive, and attentive to each student’s learning process.
I create a positive and comfortable environment where making mistakes is part of learning. My goal is to help you feel confident, motivated, and able to use Spanish in real-life situations.

I use a communicative approach, which means students learn Spanish by actively using the language in meaningful contexts. I combine speaking, listening, reading, and writing, depending on each student’s goals. I also adapt my teaching to different learning styles, using visual materials, guided practice, and real-life examples. I believe learning should feel natural, engaging, and not intimidating.
What sets me apart?
What makes me different is my experience as a professional teacher, not just a tutor. I have worked with many students with different needs, including shy learners, and I know how to create a comfortable environment where students feel safe to make mistakes. I also focus on real-life Spanish, so students can actually use the language in everyday situations.
A typical lesson includes:
A warm-up conversation or review of previous content
Introduction of new vocabulary or grammar in context
Guided practice through exercises or structured activities
Speaking practice to build confidence and fluency
