About Isaac
Hi!
I am a recent BA graduate from Barcelona! I was born in Australia but grew up all over the world.
I was raised mostly in Barcelona where I attended Spanish Public Primary-, Middle-, and Highschool; graduating with a Bilingual International Baccalaureate diploma. Afterwards I moved to the UK and completed a BA Hons in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics.
Having recently graduated from said degree, I’ve moved to Perth and am very excited to share the joy of learning Spanish!

My approach varies depending on the objectives of my Student!
Most lessons are around an hour long. Although I can adapt my methods to longer or shorter classes if needed.
I have taught both english and spanish speakers since I was 16 years old. Having taught both languages I feel like I can apply what I have learned form both to more effectively teach the parts of Spanish most english speakers struggle with.
I attempt to first understand what the objectives of my students and adapt accordingly. Following that I try to go through some casual conversation and writing to gauge the level of my students.
In most cases I aim to focus on intelligibility rather than following a ‘correct’ formula to teaching. I think learning languages ought to be a joy in itself rather than a chore. This means I try to teach the basics with a level of casualness, focusing on real life applications. While higher levels require a more serious approach, the underlying spirit of of having fun while learning remains.
