About Audrey
Hi there! I’m Audrey and I'm from Chengdu, China—the land of pandas and delicious spicy hotpot! I’ve always loved languages and teaching, which led me to major in Teacher Education at a university in China. After graduating, I taught English in a high school for three years before moving to the UK, where I spent two years teaching Mandarin to students of different ages. Now, I’m in Melbourne, studying for my Master of Teaching, and I’m excited to help more students learn Mandarin! Why Learn with Me? I know learning Mandarin can seem intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. My lessons focus on real communication—helping you speak with confidence, understand conversations, and even pick up some fun cultural insights along the way. Whether you’re a beginner or already know some Mandarin, I’ll personalize the lessons to make learning easy, engaging, and useful for your goals. A Little About Me When I’m not teaching, I’m out exploring the world! I’ve traveled to Asia, North America, and Europe, always looking for new experiences and cultures to learn from. I love snowboarding, reading, and trying adventurous activities—like skydiving in Vancouver. My love for exploring never stops at travel—I’m also deeply curious about Chinese culture, history, and language, and I enjoy sharing those discoveries with my students.

Hi! I’m Audrey, a Mandarin teacher with years of experience teaching in both China and the UK. I know learning a new language can feel tricky, but don’t worry! I make my lessons fun, practical, and easy to follow. How I Teach: My lessons are all about real-life communication. Instead of just memorizing words and grammar, we’ll focus on speaking, listening, and actually using Mandarin in daily life. I use stories, role-plays, games, and even a bit of Chinese culture to make learning more interesting. Every lesson is personalized based on your goals—whether you’re learning for travel, work, exams, or just for fun! Lesson Details: Lesson Length: Usually 1 hour, but I’m flexible! What We’ll Do: A mix of speaking, listening, vocabulary, and grammar, all in a natural and easy way. Materials: I use videos, pictures, simple texts, and real-life examples to help you learn faster. Who Can Join? I teach all levels and ages, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Whether you want to start from scratch, improve your pronunciation, or get better at speaking confidently, I’m here to help!
