About Nicholas
I lived in France for 8 years, whilst there I obtained my Baccalaureate in a French speaking college. I haven't done any tutoring work yet, however i have done B2B translating for a market research company, and spent several weeks as a group supervisor for English students doing work experience in France.

I am prepared to provide tutoring for any level, from basic to university.
My tutoring will be tailored to your needs. I would start the tutoring with a small evaluation at no extra cost to determine the main areas of focus and then set necessary targets to work towards based on the result.

Nick is a fun and very caring person who connects well with people and children of all ages, and at all levels. His knowledge of French is not just at an excellent educational level it is also fantastic at a practical and social level, from written letters and exam work to conversational, as well as ‘down with the kids’ chat when appropriate. English was his first language until the age of 11, he excelled in written and spoken English until French suddenly became his first language when he moved to live in France with his family. There he started from the bottom in a French school with no understanding of French, therefore he knows well the difficulties of learning from scratch and in contrast the satisfaction of learning new words and using them in both social and professional settings. Nick was so fluent in French that many French people were surprised to discover he was an English boy. I owe Nick huge thanks for helping me to learn French so I could too integrate comfortably and also set up a new business over there, he was a big help to my friends in translating and in understanding paperwork. Nick looked for and secured part-time work in a family run bar/restaurant, which he did along side his studies, to integrate further & understand the culture more. Nicholas quickly became top student in all subjects & was able to take on extra curricular hobbies like handball, he made many new life long friends. Nick returned to live in England, after passing his Baccalaureate in France with Credit honours. He then returned to college as a mature student to gain a qualification in English, this was to make sure he was up to scratch after being away for so many years. Nick not only communicates daily but also returns to France regularly to visit with his friends and keep his foreign language skills fresh. Nick takes pride in his work and has enjoyed doing some translation work in the U.K. but would like to share and pass on his skills on a bigger scale. Nicholas is very patient and understanding with people in general and will always go the extra mile to help anyone, as a tutor he will not rest until he feels you are happy with the level you want to be at.
Nick has a real skill when it comes to speaking French. He lived there for years and this has helped him develop a deep understanding of the language, grammar and even colloquialisms. He’s also a very patient person, which really helps someone like me who can’t remember things very well :)
Nicholas is a great teacher and helped me gain my confidence when sitting my french a levels. He was very patient with me and helped me with different ways of remembering all the information I needed to remember and was always there to support me leading up to taking my exams. Would highly recommend him.
