About Kanon
こんにちは！I'm Kanon, a native Japanese speaker born and raised in Japan. I have a passion for language, culture, and teaching—and I’m excited to help you learn Japanese in a fun and meaningful way!
My Background
I studied Psychology at university in New York, where I also worked as a peer tutor, teaching Spanish, math, and American Sign Language. After graduation, I worked for a Japanese airline at JFK Airport, then returned to Japan to pursue my love for education.
Since moving back, I’ve taught English to children from 18 months to 18 years old at a language school, and worked in an international preschool setting. These experiences have helped me understand different learning styles and how to adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
