About Stephanie
Bonjour, Do you want to learn French from scratch, improve your existing skills, practise your conversation or simply help your children with their exams preparation? I am Stephanie, a French teacher originally from Bordeaux but now living and teaching in a small boarding school close to Edinburgh. I have a degree in French and in the final part of graduating in Spanish, so teaching and studying is part of my daily routine! I have several years of experience teaching and leading activities in French for both children and adults across Edinburgh. I have a real passion for languages and for transmitting my knowledge of French to others in a fun and friendly way. Today, I'm teaching French at all levels and I'm passionate about it. At the moment, I teach online, with the possibility of doing lessons in person in the future when the circumstances allow it again.

I adapt my lessons to each person's individual needs and goals and I make sure all aspects of the language are covered - written and oral comprehension as well as written and oral expression. My approach is also to make the lessons as fun and enjoyable as possible as well as helping students to gain confidence. I encourage them to try and find answers themselves, even if they are not fully sure. It is important not to be too self-conscious about making mistakes... everyone does!

Perfect! Stephanie is a brilliant teacher. She covers all areas of learning and does so very clearly for me to understand. with her, I feel like I'm picking up things quickly and she is often adapting her lessons to go over things I query at the beginning of lessons.
The only thing that would speed up my learning is me doing my homework, but she is very understanding when I can't find the time.
I would highly recommend as a French teacher.- Great comprehension reading and listening. Matt needs to gain confidence when speaking the language.Stephanie's response :

Stephanie has been my tutor for over 3 years, and I look forward to every session we do. Good on teaching grammar as it arises, she gives me the confidence to talk as naturally as I can on any subject, as conversation flows. She is also introducing me to many aspects of French culture. Highly recommend her as a tutor, but only if she still has time to teach me!
