About Zahia
I am a certified teacher in Ontario with over 15 years of experience teaching French. I have worked with French immersion students and taught French as a Second Language to students in grades 2 through 9 in Toronto and elsewhere.
I also help adults develop their relationship with French and improve their fluency. My approach focuses on improving pronunciation first, then progresses to conversation, listening comprehension, grammar, and writing. I create materials tailored to each level and provide a structured and stimulating learning environment.

I am a native French speaker with extensive experience teaching French to immersion students from Grade 2 to Grade 12. I also teach French as a Second Language to students from Grade 4 to Grade 9, as well as to adults through one-on-one and group lessons.
For beginners, I focus first on pronunciation, as it is the foundation for improving speaking and listening skills. I then introduce French grammar alongside themed vocabulary to help learners develop their writing and reading abilities.
I prepare materials adapted to each student’s level, and I can also work with your own materials if you prefer to focus on specific content. In addition, I can help students with French homework (and mathematics in French).
The free first lesson includes a placement test covering the four skills: speaking, listening, writing, and reading. It is also an opportunity for me to learn more about you and your goals for your French learning journey.
