About Jean
My approach to teaching French to adults is centred around practical conversational techniques, equipping you with the essential tools to sustain a conversation as quickly as possible. The more words you know, the more sentences you can form, and the more confident you become in speaking. My goal is to help you build your confidence in a gradual, practical, and effective way. I tailor lessons to your specific needs, offering a minimum of 2 to 3 sessions per week, depending on your level. Additionally, I provide support for students preparing for their GCSE and A-level French exams. I know firsthand that this method works because I applied it to myself when I moved to the UK 20 years ago. Learning a new language in a real-world, conversational way allowed me to integrate quickly and communicate with confidence. Over the years, I have delivered private lessons to students and colleagues across various industries, helping them develop their skills in a practical and engaging way. My goal is not just to teach French but to make you feel comfortable and confident in using it in everyday situations. Great teacher.I have a weekly conversation lesson with Jean. It's a fun and relaxed experience but I feel like my conversion skills have greatly improved. Jean is very flexible and seems to be able to turn any subject I want to discuss into a lesson. He's particularly good at helping me keep things simple and find a way to express my thoughts. I thoroughly recommend him.
