About Allegra
I am a second-year student at the University of Bath, studying French as part of my degree. I have experience tutoring GCSE students for their French speaking exams, helping them to build confidence and achieve success.
I want to teach French to GCSE students because I have the knowledge and experience to help students improve their understanding of the language and feel more confident in their abilities. I truly believe that learning a language should be engaging, rewarding, and enjoyable!

Hello! I'm Allegra, a native French speaker currently studying International Management with French at Bath university. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE French, an A* at A-Level, and a First-Class average (77%) in my first year at university.
My lessons are tailored to each student's needs and focus on building confidence, fluency, and strong exam skills. For GCSE French students, I provide support across all four key areas:
1. Speaking: Practise conversations with a native French speaker to improve pronunciation, fluency and confidence.
2. Listening: Strategies for understanding spoken French and identifying key information in exam-style recordings.
3. Reading: Vocabulary development, comprehension techniques, and support with more complex texts.
4. Writing: Grammar, sentence structure, tenses, high-level phrases, and exam-ready writing skills.
I also share effective exam techniques to help students maximise marks in GCSE assessments.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although longer or shorter sessions can be arranged if needed.
My tuition is suitable for:
